Tracy Andersen - Executive Director

Tracy has always been a lover of the natural world. She grew up hiking and body surfing in New Jersey. She received a B.A. in Biology from Smith College and an M.A. in Environmental Management from Yale University. Over the years, she has been involved in many conservation-related activities, from working as a scientist at a San Diego environmental consulting firm, to leading nature hikes as a ranger at Grand Teton National Park. More recently, she worked as a program manager for The Nature Conservancy for seven years, and then became a licensed teacher and taught high school Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Biology in Denver for eight years. She is thrilled to be in Minturn and working for the Alliance!

John-Ryan Lockman - Energy & Waste Programs Manager

John-Ryan was born and raised in Athens, Georgia and graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. After 4 years in Florida he moved to Vail and began working for Vail Resorts. He has worked for the Environmental Department at Vail Resorts for the past two years developing their composting program as well as new energy initiatives. John-Ryan is excited about working for the Alliance and assisting local businesses as well as individuals with energy management and waste diversion. In his spare time he enjoys telemark skiing, snowboarding, downhill biking, fishing, and climbing.

Debbie Hawk - Community Gardens, Sustainable Food, Administration, Membership

Debbie graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Holistic Health. Her passion for the environment has led her to continue sustainability efforts in the Eagle Valley with hopes of integrating more environmental education programs and outreach into schools in our community. Debbie loves that the Alliance is the valley's resource for all things sustainable and hopes to increase the reach of the Alliance. Debbie enjoys everything about living in the Eagle Valley - skiing, hiking with her pup, yoga, camping, and exploring.
